At HDC’S Hebrew High

Hebrew High is an afterschool Hebrew language course as supplementary education program (SEP) for high school students. Students learn to read, write, and speak in Hebrew, and receive foreign language credits, which can be used towards the foreign language requirement. Our program consists of a comprehensive curriculum which fosters intellectual growth, as students not only learn the language, but also the traditions, culture, and history of Jewish people.

Foreign Language Credit

Fulfill your high school foreign language credits through our WASC accredited and UCOP (A-G) listed program.

Learn the Language

Learn to speak, read and write Hebrew all while earning 10 credits per school year

Weekday Classes

Hebrew High meets every Monday & Wednesday in two sessions 4:30pm – 6:55pm and 7:00pm – 9:25pm.

In most cases students may choose to enroll in first or second session.

Lessons Plans

Students are placed in tracks according to their language level. Each track has a set lesson plan to enhance student’s proficiency in Hebrew language and Jewish culture.

Lasting Friendships

Meet and bond with other teens and build lifelong friendships to carry you through the years.

Meaningful Conversations

Our staff provides a non-judgmental, open-minded space to have discussions about challenges facing teens.
